About the screening process
This page explains, in plain language, how organizations using Shortlyst screen candidates: what gets looked at, what gets scored, who sees it, and how long we keep it.
What we look at
We review your résumé and the answers you give during a short phone screening call. The call may ask about your experience, availability, and a few role specific questions.
What gets scored
Your résumé and your call answers are scored against the criteria the hiring team set for this role. Scores help the recruiter build a shortlist faster. A human always reviews the shortlist before anyone is contacted about next steps.
Who sees your information
Your application, résumé, and call summary are visible to the recruiter and hiring team at the organization you applied to. We do not sell your data or share it outside the hiring process.
How long we keep it
We keep your application data for as long as the role is open, plus a short retention window afterward, then delete it. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
